Kate has been with IEI since 2003, when she began as a Direct Support Professional after moving to Eugene from Pennsylvania.  During her time with IEI, she has served in several roles, including Program Manager, Program Coordinator and Associate Director. In 2015, Kate was chosen by the Board as successor to the prior director who retired. 

Since becoming the Executive Director, Kate has helped the agency open one new program, begun developing an employment program to better serve people with disabilities who want to find employment, as well as expanded the agency's workforce by more than 20 employees. She has also worked with the Board to develop committees for fundraising and recruitment.
